Im worried about the high humidity. I keep my lawnmower in there and it seems fine. Would it matter if I hung the bikes from the ceiling of the shed, or left them on the floor? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

  1. With consistent humid conditions either keep it indorrs or wipe the bare metal down with a light oil. Wipe again with a clean rag, this will help reduce rust but attract some dirt. I do this on my kids bikes I leave in the garage year-round. Works well.

  2. Everything metal rusts in Florida. You can't stop it, you can only slow it down.

  3. No, not as long as you keep moisture off the bikes.

  4. You need to keep your bikes in the house somewhere.  FL horrible humidity will ruin them eventually even in a shed.  I don't keep anything I like outside or in a shed.  What a nasty place to live.

  5. If the shed has a good floor and is well enclosed it's better than keeping them outside. But you will see more corrosion than keeping inside a climate controlled house.
