If i killed and gutted a live lobster,how long would it be good for

these are soft shell lobsters,and i would.nt be able to get them home for 1.5 days,i was told they would die before i got them home so i figured if i killed and gutted them and kept in a cooler they will still be good to cook when i do get home

Do not worry they should be good for awhile. Just keep them in a cool place.

Answer 2

Boil and cook them first, wrap (shell on/intact) and freeze if you can, in newspaper.

Other than that try and keep them on ice in a chilly bin.
