  1. Usually no, unless he is a named driver on your policy covered fully comprehensive. If the insurance just covers 3rd party, then the insurance will pay for the damage to the other car but not yours. If he is not a named driver then he must have his own insurance that entitles him to drive other vehicles. Your best bet is to check with your insurance company.

  2. Yes, because you gave him permission to drive your vehicle.  Normally the only time they will not pay is if you have restrictions on your policy for unlisted drivers or if their an excluded driver on your policy.

  3. Only if he is on the insurance that you have for your car

  4. Check with your agent. That is the only way to know for sure. Hate to see you come back here complaining that info someone gave you was wrong.

  5. It depends on what your specific insurance covers. Most insurances will only cover the specific driver. Some will cover drivers over 25, but to what percentage i couldnt tell you.

  6. If you friend is not registered on your Insurance the Insurance company will not pay for any damages to your car if your friend or anyone not on your insurance is in charge of your car.  Do be careful before you give your car to anyone who is not registered on your insurance or not even insured. If any damages occured it is your responsibility.

  7. contact your insurace agent for accurate information.

I can tell you , for a fact, that he must have a driver's license.

Most policies cover any licensed driver who has your permission to drive your car, but if you do not have collision insurance, damages to your car will  not be covered.

  8. i am not 100% sure but i think No because his not listed as a driver under your insurance policy

  9. if you have uninsured motorist on your coverage, then it should.... check your policy.

actually I jsut came in and decided to fit this in,,, some states require that all drivers have their own insurance to drive any type of car or pick up cdl drivers included. My brother in some states has to go find an insurance agency and buy insurance for driving the vehicles he does drive-- which in other states he does not have  to.... I have 6 vehicles insured in my state, my personal vehicle along with the rest, anyone can drive and they are insured as long as they are over 21... I have designated drivers listed on my policys, but should one "borrow" the truck not listed on the policy  that person be it friend or  worker, is insured for any accidents that may happen, again, call your policy holder and make sure.
