in NJ you need to be 17 to get a license, but in FL its only 16. Is it possible to get a license in FL at 16 and a half instead of having to wait until im 17 in NJ. I am a resident of FL

  1. If you are a legal resident of Florida, you get your licence in Florida.  However, if you drive in any other state or province, your licence is only valid if you meet the age limit in that state.

If you are a legal resident of New Jersey, you can't get a licence in Florida.  I highly doubt you are a homeowner at 16, so you are legal resident where you parents file taxes, where you go to school, where you have your health care, and where your parents are registered to vote.

In Florida, you have to have your learner's permit for a year before you can get a teen driver licence, by the way.
