If i live on the east coast, can i still sign with agents who are on the west coast?

there have been many auditions for hollywood and disney agents where i live but i always seem to miss them lol but i know their names so would it be acceptable if i mailed my headshot and resume to them seeking representation?

It's not a good idea because how are you going to go to auditions across the country 1-5 times a week?

You should sign with an agent on the East Coast (there are plenty) and once you start getting steady work, move to LA and get an agent there! But only after you've started your career.
