If you major in history you can be a teacher of any of the disciplines related to that subject. If you get your Phd, you can be a professor. You can also be an archeologist or get into a research field. There are many things to do with a history major.

Theoretically: a job in a museum. But only theoretically. There are far more art history graduates than jobs available.

Practically: any job that requires non-specialized tertiary education. Most likely, especially if you want to stay in the field, a job as teacher. In art history.

i agree with tyler but you could also be an art  history teacher but you MAY also need to be an artist or at least an art student

Curator for an art museum, or really almost any museum job, or an art teacher/professor depending on whether or not you want to teach grade school or college. Also, you can get into art restoration, but I think you have to have a minor in chemistry or some form of art chemistry to know what chemicals and solvents to use for cleaning and restoring art.
