  1. Once yo get married, she will petition you by filing I-130 and your will apply for green card by filing I-485. Along with I-485 you can apply I-765 Employment Authorization Document. Once that is approved which is first before I-485, you can legally work.

  2. Since ur british you can always go to the U.S and Get marry or you can apply for a Fiancee Visa and then when you get to the states u can get marry and get ur green card... Go to the Department States website, they have all the answers and forms. Good Luck and Congrats

  3. Yes, marrying her will give you the privilege to work and live here. The problem that you may encounter is, since she is just a student and I assume has no full time job, she might not be able to meet the income requirement to petition you.Unless you can find somebody to co-sponsor her.But she must have a source of income being the petitioner.

  4. Not necessary, things have change and now it's take longer.

  5. You can apply to adjust status if you enter the U.S. legally. Also apply for an employment authorization card...so you can begin to work while you wait for your green card. It doesn't just happen automatically there is an entire process and fees. Good Luck. Don't do anything illegal.
