  1. Huge misconceptions!

If you're married to a US citizen then you can apply for a conditional green card first (valid for 2 years) then after 2 years you will have to apply for removal of condition which will give you a 10 years green card.

Citizenship is never an automatic thing to get through marriage.

  2. marry an american girl does make you a citizen and neither does a green card. a green card just means you can live in the US legally. I think if you marry an american you are given a green card not quite sure though

  3. Marry an american citizen does not give you automatic citizenship nor does it even get you an automatic greencard.  You  will have to apply to immigration for your greencard and wait approval.  Then after a certain number of years with your greencard you can apply for citizenship.   Granting of a greencard is not a absoloute and you will have to prove your intentions are not false and just marrying for a greencard.

  4. No and No

Marrying an American Citizen means that they can then sponsor you for a greencard. Once you get your greencard and hold it for 3 years, you can then apply for citizenship.
