  1. You have to wait until next pick up.

  2. If he doesnt want to take it all the way back to the depot he will  leave you a wee card telling you when & where to collect - or if you want it delivered at another time(same as the postie does) or he will leave it with a neighbour or leave it in your bin... or nick it...

  3. I work for DHL in the call centre in UK.

if you are not home the courier will leave a card for you.

It will have details on there of how to arrange for it to be delivered again, collect from the depot or redirect to another address.

It will not automatically be returned to the sender. It will normally be held in the delivery office for up to 6 weeks before it is returned.

you will need the parcel number when you call.

this is either 10 or 12 digits long(all numerical)

or up to 24 digits long starting with J/JD0.

if you dont have this the sender should be able to give it to you.

Many delivery offices will automatically try again to deliver the next day but some do not  so the best thing to do is call to arrange when it is convenient for you.

Normal delivery hours are usually any time between 9am and 5-30 or 6pm but this does vary as the offices are open different hours, particularly in London.

If you want to collect in person you need to take with you some id, you need some photo id and also something which has your address on it.

If you need to call DHL the number for customer services is 08701 100 300. option 2 is for tracking a parcel and arranging delivery. the call centre is open from 8am to 7-30 pm.

  4. He buries it in your garden,no not really, he will leave a card to arrange alternative delivery

  5. he puts a card through the door giving number to ring to get parcel

  6. Reload and fire again

  7. Last time I had anything from DHL I had to go to their local centre (which is only 7 miles away).  I think there was an option to have it re-delivered but as we were so close I just picked it up...

  8. He takes the package home with him and opens it.

  9. he will leave a note through your letter box, and will take the parcel to your local depot, you can then choose to either go to the depot to pick it up, or phone and they will rearange a delivery.

  10. Call DHL.  Your not gonna loose the package, you can either pick it up from them or they will deliver it the next day.  No sweat.  1-800-CALLDHL

  11. UPS and FedEx leave it at the door if the shipper did not request a signature.  If signature is require they leave a note on the door with instructions to call or they try again.  Now DHL is about the worst courier out there, every company I have worked for does not use them anymore because of poor service.  I would guess they would do the same as UPS and FedEX.  good luck getting the package.

  12. they might get a neighbour to sign for it, or they'll leave you a card saying they tried to deliver, and to call their number to rearrange delivery.

  13. He takes it home, opens it and if he doesn't want it he sells it on ebay.

  14. They will leave a slip saying that will redeliver the next day or you can call the main office and have them hold your package so that you can pick it up.

  15. it's either returned to sender, or left at a collection depot and a letter/form is put through the door and you have to go collect it yourself within a few days or it's sent back to the company it came from.
