If i only work out at 2 am is it unhealthy?

i only go to the gym late at nite are really really early cause its the only time i feel i can realax. But if i dont get enuff sleep will it affect my health instead of helping me stay in shape

  1. Depends on your schedule.

    If you can get enough sleep, then you're fine.  But sacrificing sleep for a workout is a pretty bad tradeoff.  Whether you're in the workforce or school, it'll decrease your productivity and lower your body defenses - you'll get sick easier.

    Try shifting it to when you first get up, if you're an early riser.  That works for me really well.


  2. In two parts- working out in the middle of the night is fine.  Not getting enough sleep (due to any reason) can negatively affect you.  I think the best course of action is to schedule out your day and get your sleep in say, from 10p-2a then 4a-8a; obviously you are more on the particulars (drive time to gym, showering time, work, etc.)
