  1. Per the IRS website www.irs.gov

No you will not get the stimulus it will be offset to your IRS debt.  If the stimulus full pays the amount you owe and there is any remaining it will be sent to you.

  2. question is....did you pay what you owed? or do you still have an outstanding tax bill?  If you still have an outstanding bill..you won't get a stimulus check....if you paid what was due on taxes by the deadline..then yes, you will still qualify

  3. Your stimulus check is based upon your income - not your balance owed.

  4. You still qualify for the stimulous check.  However, if you do not pay your taxes, then the amount you would have received will go toward your tax balance.

  5. Qualifying for the stimulus payment depends on having a minimum of $3,000 of qualifying income and the amount of the rebate depends on the amount of tax liability you have.  It does not make a difference if you get a refund or if you have a balance due.  The amount of the rebate also depends on how many children you claimed.

If you have a refund, you will get the stimulus check.

If you have an amount due and paid it with your return, then you will get the stimulus check.  This is what the IRS wants you to do.

If you have an amount due and you did not pay it with your return, then the IRS will apply the stimulus check to the amount due.  If the rebate is larger than the amount due you will get a check for the difference.  If the rebate is smaller than the amount due, you will still owe the IRS some money.
