  1. Yes, you will be able to marry your fiance before/after he joins the Army, even if you owe the IRS money.  You will still have to pay the IRS what you owe.  If you file a joint return, after being married, they may withhold any returns until what you owe is paid back.

  3. no, they are relentless and half the people that marry someone joining the army is doing it for the insurance. so they will be watching you extra hard.

  4. ofcourse you can but keep in mind then it becomes his problem too but nobody will stop it from happin if you want to get married (exceptions being g*y marriges not allowed)

  5. You'd be wiser to pay them off before getting married to keep them from going after his money, too.  They can and will do that.

    At least, make some kind of payment arrangement with them and pay it strictly on time - then, they won't bother you.

    Debts to the IRS are not included in the Soldiers and Sailors Act.
