If i paint the light bulb in my room black, will it make my room go darker.?

not only will the room go darker, you may start a fire.

painting a lightbulb is a very bad idea.

you have to use the right type of paint

or the bulb could burst into flames once the paint reached the right temperature...

got to an art shop for glass paint,  Tell them you are going to use it on a bulb.

some low wattage normal bulbs like a 25watt, candle bulb,  normally used for bedside lamps,  even they can get very hot.

Yes and the smell of burning paint will keep you awake.  If you want a darker room, buy a darker bulb.  They are available in all hardware stores.  Use darker shades instead of white ones.  Kill all overhead lighting in your room.  Or put in dimmers for all your light switches.

P.S.   a bulb would be cheaper than the paint.

Put in a lower wattage bulb, for Pete's sake.

You can get them as small a 7 watts.

Don't think it would be a good idea to paint the bulb!   Buy one of these bulbs instead....

edit: dipthong - maybe you should keep your sunglasses on - it would save you having to buy a bulb ;)
