If i plant rye grass in my terrarium, how do i keep it trimmed?

also if i mist the terrarium twice a day with water, will the rye like that? or not...please help me!

RYE grass does not continually grow like the different varieties of grass in a normal house lawn. RYE grass is a cereal grass like wheat grass. instead of wheat it grows rye (like in rye bread)

It produces a crop of rye seeds and dyes.

"Rye" is an 'annual' cereal grain, the stuff bread is made of. "Rye grass" is the 'perennial' most often used for lawns and pastures. So Rye grass is what you want and a scissor will work as your lawn mower, just don't cut it shorter than a couple inches unless you have a critter in there to do the mowing. If the critter eats it all just keep adding more seed. You can get "rye grass" seed in the lawn and garden center of Walmart. To get "rye" seed you will need to go to a feed and seed store.  RScott
