If i post a letter tomorrow will it get there by saturday?

Question

if i post a letter first class, tomorrow afternoon (friday 1st august), will it get there the by next day (saturday 2nd august). both addresses are within the scotland (uk)

if not when will i need to post for it to get there by saturday 2nd.

this may sound like a stupid question but im just so confused with the royal mail at the moment.

please help!!! mike

It should get there saturday but with royal mail there is no guarentee, you can choose to post it special mail, next day saturday delivery which will get there definatily by saturday but its expensive. your looking at about £5.

There is no certainty that it will get there by saturday. You can ask at the post office if u can send it by registered mail, they will be better abled to advise you. I wouldnt expect my letter to get to the same city overnight as they frequently take a detour
