i have a 2006 crf250r dirt bike and was wondering if i put a high compression piston on my dirtbike if that would make me have to change anything else.

  1. you would need a different power band

    And a new fetzer valve

    to control throttle slackoff


  2. The main thing you have to do is run race fuel only. Minimum of 104 octane. Something like VP Red.

  3. you may have to change your jetting specs. plus you may have to run a gasoline that has a higher octane than pump gas. VP racing fuels makes a gas for this. I think it has like 104 or something like that.

    Plus make sure you have your valves checked. you do not want to put in a high compression piston if the valves cant handle it......

    but other than that, no major changes are needed.
