  1. Probably not much difference than what  you are currently getting.  If some stations are sending out digital signals already then you should get a clearer/stronger picture though.

  2. Most, if not all, of the TV stations already have their digital transmitters on the air.  Unless you're receiving signals from the low powered translators that are used to fill in small areas, you should see everything that you see now.  The picture should even be clearer than  the analog you currently see.  All the TV stations in my area are sending out the digital signals and the picture is better from my converter box than from the analog signals directly.  The digital signal sometimes doesn't come in due because a slightly stronger signal is needed for digital  TV.  You may need to buy a better antenna.  Rabbit ears are particularly bad for digital reception.

  3. The answer until February 17, 2009 (which is when most analog signals will be converted to digital by law) is nothing. You may indeed notice a slight change in the quality of the picture, but in actuality it will just be sitting there rather uselessly until that date. This is only if television stations broadcast in analog, which in the case renders your converter box useless. If however a television station broadcasts in digital, then you should notice a reasonably better quality in the picture. But the answer is none until the conversions actually takes place, which at time you will see a noticeable difference.

  4. If you were smart enough to have gotten a converter that will pass both analog as well as digital signals, you won't see a real change till the 1/3rd (major network) of the stations are going digital. Since the other 2/3rds, so called low power stations, will still be analog for some time to come, you will be able to still receive both. However, if you have a digital only converter, then you will not be able to receive the analog stations such as some local news stations, school stations and most religious stations.
