  1. Plenty of tires last 80,000 miles. If the rubber isn't cracking and you have enough tread they're still good.

People that can spare the money replace tires before they really need it because a tire with 3/8" tread is always going to be better and safer than a tire with 1/8".

  2. The only thing I would be worried about is fatigue of the rubber and the steel belts. If you do not see a visible wave in the tread, cracks in the rubber and the tread is still good and not worn beyond safe levels. You can have a mechanic test the thickness of the tread or you can check the specs and measure it yourself. Ususally with problems with steel or other material belts you will feel a difference in the front end first and it will throw the tire off balance. If none of these conditions exist Party On!

    Hope this helps

  3. Sounds like a good tire.

  4. The person best qualified to answer the question is YOU. If the tires don't hydroplane during wet conditions and provide at least acceptable traction during the winter I'd say you have a winner.

I really appreciate all the real world tire testing done at tirerack.com. before making an expensive tire decission.

  5. If you are happy with them then it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks.  For you it is a good tire.
