my speakers have been ****** up lately and i was wondering if say a 10 or 12 inch sub would take all the bass and put it in the subs. also, my speakers are ****** amazing they shake my mirror like a mutherfucxer and my trunk shakes, i want to know if a sub would help

i have no amp to my speakers, just the VR3 cd player and rear VR3 6x9's, thats it

  1. If u dont want ur 6x9s to hit a lot of the low notes, then turn ur high pass filter (HPF)(on ur head unit) as high as it can go.  That will filter out the low notes so that ur speakers dont play them.  Ur prolly gonna want a sub then too

  2. what stereo shops wont like to tell you because it takes away from sales is a trunk is a perfect bass bin, have you ever seen a 70s or 80s car just thumpin the base but only had a 100watt amp , cd player and 2 6x9s? Its because the trunk is an awesome bass bin

if you go with 2 6x9s you should have awesome base, if you decide to put 2 10 inch subs in it will rattle your fillings out, not a box or bin needs to be built

    good luck
