If i quit my job before my workman comp is finish will it effect my claim?

I hurt my self at work and i did file a claim and now the managers are treating me badly so now i want to quit but i have the claim still pending.

Do not quit.  It will affect your claim.  They are trying to get you to quit by treating you like c**p.  Don't let them win.  Instead, contact your state's workman's comp center and talk with one of their representatives about the best way to protect yourself.  You should have received a workman's comp book as soon as you were injured and they should have contact numbers in there.

    But if you quit, you will not be able to get unemployment, and then your workman's comp benefits would stop except as to your future medical bills - and they could fight those too.

  2. Management is not allowed, by law, to treat an applicant for worker's comp any different than anyone else in the workplace. In fact they could be sued if they do.

    Don't quit, just shove it in their faces and tell them that if they continue to harass you, you will lawyer-up and sue them for workplace discrimination.

    If they don't like it let them fire you...which they cannot do while you have this issue pending! (Unless you were to steal something or punch someone's lights out)
