If i raise some money, how can i give it to the needy?

y mom took me downtown the other day, and i saw so many homeless people. i started raising money, and want to give it to tehm. but how... should i give it to them by hand? my mom said thats too dangerous. but i want to be there when they get the money.

go to homeless shelter and talk to the head person charge. Tell them what you want to do. And give/donate it to them. Its a nice thing your doing but if you want to by hand do it dont give money go buy food with the money and give that to them because if you give them money some that are dangerous might think you have more and try to steal it from you. And also if you give it by hand take a couple people adults ect with you.

Your mom is right. It's best given to the right people who will make sure that they do the right thing with it. Some homeless people only want booze. Sad to say. Try giving it to a Homeless shelter, it is there that they can provide beds, clothing, food, toiletries and such to those who are homeless. Or if you prefer have your money used to feed homless people, try a food shelter or soup kitchen. You will helps lots of homeless people that way.

give it to a church or Goodwill or Salvation Army or a food pantry.  that way you are helping the homeless and making sure the money goes to buy the right things.  a homeless person might buy liquor instead of food with a handout.  congratulations on being so selfless!

One way to also help is to serve the needy in a shelter for example on Thanksgiving.
