If i recive ssi can i buy a house?

I want a house but i only get ssi right now because my husband is still looking for a job due to little work in my town. Any suggestions?

SSI is income but you can't qualify on "future" income for your husband.  With the current mortgage crisis lenders are requiring good credit, down payment and income history.  The best you can do right now is sit down with a mortgage person and understand what you will be able to buy once your husband is hired and maybe start looking a properties so when the time comes you will be knowledgeable.

As long as you can show you can currently make the payments have a good credit score, down payment, etc., then there should not be any problem.
