  1. you usually dont get muscles with running, only endurance. try lifting weights or run for a longer amount of time

  2. A mile is a good distance to begin with.   But it doesn't make for a lengthy workout.

Unless you're combining your runs with other exercise routines that total up to around 40 minutes per workout, your improvements may take a while to appear.

Add a half mile per week until you work your way up to 3 miles per run.  Also add other calisthenic exercises to your workout sessions.

  3. In the thighs and calfs, but depends on how fast you run them.

  4. Running a mile 3 times a week is commendable and certainly beats not running at all, but it ain't gonna do much to your body.

A bare minimum to see any results at all is to run at least 1 mile 6 days a week.

    Good Luck

  5. If you are only doing 1 mile 3 times each week I don't think you are going to see much muscle development.

  6. The only thing I have noticed peronally is that my legs are leaner and toner. The only place I noticed any significant increase in muscle mass is on my calves. Running will not really build mussle if that is your objective.
