  2. yes it does. It is illegal to have a poker table for gambling in the united states. but it's not illegal if its for you and your friends to play but not to have people from all over you state go play at your house. and that will be suspicious of the police or anyone in your neighborhood.

  3. well if you call it boys night out and they are all people you like to be around.....then it's not really hosting a poker table.....rather a night with the guys so....that is one way around it. have fun and good luck ;)

Laws vary state by state, but generally, if you are not running a for-profit game you should be alright.  If, on the other hand you take a rake (collect money for the house), that would be illegal. Just keep it friendly, don't try to charge anyone for food or drinks or anything, and keep the stakes low.
