  1. You probably will - just keep at it and don't push yourself overly hard, you don't want to injure yourself, in which case you won't be as prepared as you can be. Just keep in shape, running isn't something that you want to stop, its harder to get back into it after you've stopped. You will also have some practices before your meets most likely, so your coach can give you suggestions. Make sure that you incorporate some hills into your workouts, because those will strengthen your legs, and most cross country courses have some hills in them, I know mine does.  Good luck, and most of all, have fun running.

  2. thats great that your running that much... you will definitely be in shape and your coaches can help you work on your speed... which is much easier to build up than endurance... just remember that people may be much better than you because they kknow what to expect.. but if you continue running next year you could be with the elite

  3. I think you'll be ready.  I run a lot too, because I'm on the cross country team, just make sure that your running over different types of terrain.

  4. it depends on how good the rest of the runners are at your school, running 4 miles doesnt guarantee that you'll be a top runner but generally, if you can do that without much trouble, youll be ready for the workouts.

some workouts are different, too. like- hills, some people cant do these well even if they run a 5k in an excellent time. if you're fit though, im sure youll be just fine.

some people even come into the season with minimum training and start a little behind but are able to catch up pretty easily..although injuries are more common for them.

try not to burn out- mix up where you run

  5. sounds good, how ever two of those runs need to be longer then the rest (usually Sunday and Wednesday) Make those days a little longer and if you feel really bad the next day run a little less. You should try to slowly increase your miles every week. It doesnt have to be alot, just run 3-5 minutes longer on you long runs every week.

  6. sounds good but it depends on the compitition u get.
