Apple's products are greatly inflated, almost like jewelry. I would advise you to expect recooping only 1/4 to 1/2 of what you bought the ipod for. As a private sale, if the product breaks within one year, the purchaser is stuck with a defective product with no warranty coverage. That's a tremendous risk to take and justifies a significant reduction in asking price.
