Will it pay for all of it? Or is their a cap of how much it will cover? Does whether or not I get deployed during my time of service make a difference when it comes to the GI bill?

  1. I am surprised as well.

But the answer is yes, as long as you paid into the GI bill. For additional benefits join the National Guard when your contract is up.

  2. Honestly the Air force will tell you exactly your situation if you call them. h**l you could probably even go to a local recruitment office they memorize the benefits. It should cover you unless maybe if you used it to pay your undergrad's debts. Check with your previous deployment staff office.

  3. First, the way your wording your question it does not even sound as if your in the Air Force yet.  Second, as others have said if you don't know what your entitled to then something is wrong.  Needless to say, if you go to your local education center on base, they will tell you exactly what education benefits you will receive once you leave the Air Force.

In addition if it is the "NEW" GI Bill then you will get much more than the old.

In addition, unless someone on here is an Active Duty Air Force Officer Recruiter or an Air Force Education Specialist this is the wrong forum to be asking that question.

  4. Seriously you don't know this?  The GI Bill is a certain amount of money every month.  It's set every year and subject to change.  Depending on what school you go to will depend if it can pay for it or not.  Harvard, no. Local state college, probably.

  5. I am astonished that you would have to post this question on this board.

Don't your employers tell you things like this? Or is secrecy in the military so extreme that you can't even ask about the terms of your indentured servitude?

Yet one of the many reasons I personally do not respect the military... that you would have to post this question here and not just have a liaison you could ask.
