I trained as a hairdresser and beauty therapist and I know that hair is just dead keratin and nothing you do to it on the outside will affect how it grows back. It won't grow back thicker or darker. I can't believe people believe that myth. It might feel more thick as when hair grows back the end is blunt, instead of tapered as hair grows naturally. Hair removal cream will make the end less blunt than cutting so it might feel more smooth when it grows back.

If you wax hair for years it usually damages the hair follicle as it affects it at the root, so it grows back less.

you'll have to keep up the maintenance constantly.

you could always try nairing it or waxing, as painful as that sounds.

that'll dissolve the entire root of each hair, meaning it should grow back about the same.

why would you let it grow back? just keep shaving it, and you won't have to worry about it.
