  1. Skiing one day a week you can wax them about once a month.

Use Swix or Toko quick wax between hot waxes, they sell them for different temp. ranges.

  2. Once a year. If you grind rails that will completely ruin your waxing. Skiing over ice can scrape off wax, too. Unless you are a ski racer,  waxing is overrated and expensive so I would just skip it.

  3. I hot wax my skiis every three days of use on soft snow.  Hard or abrasive snow, more often.  Keep at it until the bases are saturated with wax.  After they are saturated,  add you can add another day between wax jobs.

  4. Normaly once two to three times out should be fine. It does depend on the snow however. The harder the snow the more you want to wax.

  5. They say you should service once for every week of skiing, so if you are using once a week, they maybe do it every month or when they feel 'dry'. You can buy cream wax (about £3.99) which you can leave on.  Maybe get your edges done as and when you need them- when they feel a bit blunt. Just make sure you dry off your skis at the end of every session to keep them in top shape.
