  1. Well, since nicotine is a stimulant, not a depressant, the actual smoking of the cigarettes should not make you tired, but it may be that your body is working double time because of the nicotine, that when it wears off, you may feel drowsy. One cigarette doubles the speed of your heartbeat for 20 minutes.

  2. your worried about being tired . . . i think you should be worried about you organs.

  3. Nicotine can either wake you up or calm you down, depending on how you dose yourself. Short puffs tend to do the former, long ones the latter. But in the end, what really matters is what happens to you -- if smoking makes you tired, you pretty much know what you should be doing. It took me many years to discover that the reason it made me tired is that the smoke was irritating my respiratory passages and exacerbating sleep apnea, a condition that wasn't known when I was younger.

  4. ok well first of all thats horrible!! i pack a day i think you should start quiting like my mom smoked but she stopped for a couple of weeks and we were so proud of her but i found out she was cheating she was smokin behind our backs and that really made me angry just plz for the sake of ur health plz dont smoke!!

  5. Yes. Because when you smoke your pulse increases which increases metabolism and gives you a burst of energy. What we aren't always aware of is the effects on our body once the nicotine has worn off. This can send your body into a flip flop mode. Every time you smoke you get energy (you may not even notice it) for a short period of time (minutes). When your pulse rate returns to a once normal and maintainable level, it no longer suffices. That's the beauty of addiction. The more you smoke, the more you will need to smoke. Eventually your body will EXPECT that extra boost, which ironically is no longer a noticable or acceptable boost to you personally.

  6. Hmm been smoking for 15 years now and I didnt notice that one.. I sleep 5-6 hours a night and I dont take naps.. I guess it depends on the person. Im sure your age has something to do with it and now your lungs are working harder so you find yourself more tired.
