policy am i obligated to accept the refund which the buyer has requested. I left the refund policy box blank do i need to honor any refund. If so do you think it's reasonable that i give him the money minus shipping charges that he paid for? Is that an obligation to return the shipping fee he paid for? Becuase when i do refunds I'm never reimbursed for the sfipping fee i initially pay.

  1. well: accordingly to " Small Business  " you should of  ask Ebay

For their Business & Finance Department if they don't sell or buy

Items report that into  US Federal Trade Commission .E*Trade

they has Answers for it yes very important with Yahoo ! On-line protection have Privacy Policy and their  Terms of Service will

    keep out those snoopers

  2. That depends on a couple things. First: are they sending the item back to you? if so you need to refund at least the original shipping fee.

Second: You need to decide what you want more, to save the money or get good feedback. If you're a big time seller then one bad feedback wont hurt you, so do what you want. If you're a small time seller (which it sounds like you are) then I would suck it up and refund the full amount, and be gracious about it. At the very least it should keep them from leaving bad feedback, and getting the full refund without having to fight for it will probably prompt them to leave good feedback about the experience. Since a lot of buyers look at feedback scores before they bid, you need to be careful when you first start up that you don't tick anyone off!

Make sure to include in your listing important things like payment type accepted, shipping and return policy. If you're going to be selling more things I'd suggest making a generic policy to include in every listing. Write it in a word document and copy and paste it into each listing.

  3. You should be asking this to ebay, not this site! go to the faq's or click on help or report a problem.

  4. I don't believe that it is policy to refund shipping charges unless there was a problem at your end ie. you sent him the wrong item or something like that.

If he has changed his mind because it wasn't the colour he thought it was, didn't fit, etc., then that's his problem and he shouldn't be reimbursed.

I think you should check with eBay about what your obligations are and also check with other sellers who sell similar products to yours and see how they would handle it.

  5. Since you did not state a refund policy, it is up to you to do the right thing.  I sell on eBay and when I do a refund, I deduct the shipping costs going and coming as well as the listing fees and fees that eBay charges.    Buyer is responsible for all fees and expenses.

Before listing anything on eBay or Craigslist or another site, make sure you cover all your bases.  This could come back and haunt you.
