If i switch from verizon to t-mobile, can i keep my cell from verizon?

can i keep it? cause it was exspensive, and nice, and i don't want a new one

    You can keep it, but it won't work with T Mobile services.  In fact, you bought it, so you have to keep it.  They don't want it back.

Usually you can keep your phones, but you will more than likely have to go to Verizon and have them "Unlock" it first. Unlocking a phone allows it to be used with any carrier.
