  1. Not true.  Don't listen to idiots.

  2. not true at all.  'twould only be true if you were not working and then I suppose it wouldn't really matter, huh?

  3. The education credits may wipe out most, if not all, of your Federal tax liability but it depends on how much you make what other deductions that you have.

There is no rule that full-time students are "exempt" from taxes the way many people seem to think.

  4. It depends on how much you'll make for the year.  If you are a dependent and will make over $5450, or if you aren't a dependent and will make over $8950, you can claim exempt if you had no tax liability LAST year.

It has nothing to do with being a full time student.  The "someone" who told you that was wrong.

  5. Someone told you wrong.  There is no exemption for being a full-time student.  You may be eligible for some educational credits or deductions, but you are definitely NOT exempt from tax.

  6. if you are working full time - you're going to make enough to  wind up owing taxes, so no, you can't claim exempt - going to school has nothing to do with it
