If i take my laptop on my trip to california, will the internet work there?

i live in MA and im going to CA soon. i want to bring my macbook, but will i even be able to get on the internet in CA?

i have the verizon network.

im 15 and i dont want to buy an expensive thing to make the internet work, so if it isnt going to work then i just wont bring my laptop lol

if you are going to be staying somewhere with wireless service then it will work.  You don't have to have Verizon for it to work you just have to pick up a wireless signal.  If you are staying at a hotel ask them if they have wireless.
