If i tested hiv negative at 8 months fromthe exposure will i still be negative?

i had un protected s*x in sep of 06 i went 8 months which was may 07 to check all stds including hiv all was negative. should i get re tested incase of any mistakes??

  1. After 6 weeks you can be test, I think at 6 months you have like <2% error chance.

    Retest if you need to set your mind at easy.


  2. Yes, retest in september...that way you will put your mind at ease and can definitely know that you are negative.  If you were infected it would definitely test positive by the one year mark, even though is very unlikely for you to test positive since you were negative 4 months ago.  

  3. You can be retested, however, a test more than 6 months after possible exposure is considered accurate.
