it depends on your weight, gender and medical conditions if any! And the reason u are able to get that medication near u any way! You will ahve severe liver damage and will need to write your "LAST WILL & TESTAMENT"

I have seen many  adult patients who have swallowed about 10 tablets of paracetamol 500 mg tablets not showing any signs of toxicity aftem ingestion, on follow up.The British National formulary 2008 says that 20 to 30 tablets of paracetamol taken within 24 hours can cause severe hepato toxic damage.

A high dose of paracetamol can initially cause nausea and vomiting which usually settle within 24 hours. Persistence of symptoms with added inter costal pain is due to hepatic necrosis.

Liver damage is maximal 3 to 4 days after ingestion.

Although I have said that some people who have taken 10 tablets  as a single dose with intent of suicide.and followed up were quite healthy, that should not be taken as a generalisation, and that dose is potentially toxic.

Every patient who has taken in excess of the normal dose for once or within 24 hours should be kept under observation although they may not show symptoms.
