  1. No, I take that stuff every night and only get like 7 hours of sleep. You get used to it. It helps you get to sleep right away without feeling groggy in the morning.

  2. No!

  3. You need to start taking Melatonin on a three day weekend, so you can gauge the effects on your sleep patterns.

What works for one person does not necessarily work for another.  Give yourself some time to acclimatize to the product.

  4. My dog died from that...

  5. No, Melatonin is a normal chemical in your brain.  A supplement will help you sleep, but a good 8 hours if you need that much will be just fine.  Sleep is very misunderstood.  We need it to function and regenerate cells, and if you need something to sleep go ahead and take it.  But as a disclaimer, always tell your doc about everything your taking.

  6. Melatonin makes you drowsy.  It will not make you go to sleep for 12 hours or even for 1 hour.  It merely makes your body ready to sleep.
