If i travelled....?

i need some help on some conversions... if i was to travel almost 280 miles and my gas tank holds 13 gallons, in how many miles would i travel before i have to refill? just curios cause going somewhere this weekend.

That depends what you're driving.  How far you can go depends how many miles you can get per gallon.

I'm guessing it's some sort of economy car, with that 13 gallon tank.  So you can probably get at least 30 mpg on the highway, which means you can go at least 390 miles on a tank.  Though if it were me, I wouldn't try more than 350.

If you can drive 280 miles on 13 gallons, you are getting approximately 21½ miles per gallon.

I would refill your tank while you still have a couple of gallons left in the tank:

236.5 miles after 11 gallons or gas used, or

215 miles after 10 gallons used.
