If i type an email address in all uppercase letters to a german email ending in .de will it still send...?

i know it doesnt matter w/ american emailing but does upper or lowercase when typing an email address thats german to a german account matter? or as long as its the correct/same letters it will send to the same email? also im sending from an american email .com to a german one .de. i sent it in all uppercase letters but havent heard back, not sure he got it. should i had sent in lowercase maybe, maybe it sent to a different account? he wrote it out in all uppercase so... i dont know

  1. Email addresses are rarely case sensitive so it should not matter.  If an email is incorrect you'll nearly always get a returned mail notice back.  However since it seems you are stressing if this email is received, why don't you just re-send it in lower case.


  2. Unless you are using AOL everything is defaulted to lowercase letters and even in AOL in some cases it does too. I think it is with passwords that they are case sensitive, but most are anyways.  User names are always defaulted to lowercase by the internet automatically if you type all uppercase or have some upper case.

    If you want to be sure do both upper and lower and use the .de lol.

    I say it will default to lower case for that is how the coding work. I am a webmaster by trade.
