If i unlock the iphone 3G will i b able to surf the net,download app. and 3rd party's and games from the site?

Since i want to buy and iphone and i reside in india, the iphone being launched here is almost 3 times the original price. So i wanted to get an iphone from the US and unlock it. So will all the things like 3rd arty app., games and stuff which i download from the apple site work in mine or will they cause the iphone to lock again?? thnx in advance.

If you go to the states and buy an iPhone 3G then yes you are going to have to activate it in store but you can buy non actvated iphone's and iPhone 3G's on eBay but 3G's can be expensive. Hope I helped.

They should work but illegally unlocking the phone is always risky.  They can brick your phone and make is useless.  And to buy one, it has to be activated in the store.
