If i upgrade from vista basic to vista ultimate will i lose my data?

please because im thinking about updating, i posted a question like this a long time ago donno why it got removed : /

  1. Yes it will erase everything


  2. No upgrading will keep all your settings, with a clean install you will lose everything

  3. No, you can export the user account data to the new vista.

    But I would recommend to backup your data first  to a CD or DVD. Just in case something go wrong.

  6. depends if you do a clean install or upgrade not sure yu can "upgrade" between verions of the same os

    but say you upgrade from xp to vista as long as its upgrade and not clean install you'll be fine,

    ask microsoft or a pc store
