I bought some super strong Wilko's Sodium Chlorate weedkiller with the intention of using it on the bottom half of my garden where it is almost completely overgrown.

Since then I have inherited the family dog. She is in kennels for a week soon, if I used the weedkiller would the garden be safe for her to use a week later?

  1. From what i know it should be ok but if you have animals no pesticides should be used...many companys are making natural week killers and lawn fertilizers which include bone meal and things like thats...any chemical is being looked at as possible cancer causing agents and with a animals body being smaller than a human in the pets best welfare i would not use pesticied unless they are natural
