If i visit cuba will i be banned from visiting america?

im british and going on holiday to cuba soon. Only thing im worried about is will they let me into the US if i decide to visit it later on in my life. I will be visiting cuba for leisure and i will not go to the US straight afterwards, probabely a few years afterwards. Is it safe to do this?

I worried about that too........i never went though.  maybe you should wait a little and see what will happen now that Fidel Castro stepped down.............

Cuba does not stamp your passport unless you ask them to do it. That makes it easy for Americans who travel there from other countries to get back into America and it also makes it easy for anyone else travelling to both countries. :)

I head to Cuba on Friday and I'll be asking for the stamp just because I want it but you have to ask and then wait in another line.

It will be no problem.

The US only makes it illegal for US residents to visit Cuba - it does not affect everyone else.

US Immigration can sometimes be difficult for those who work in Cuba - but even then, there is little they can do for normal people. (There is a complicated process that allows the US to ban entry for those who are held to be "trafficking" in confiscated property - which has be applied to the directors of Sherritt and a few others).

If you only go to Cuba for a holiday, US immigration will not be concerned.

No problem , the travel restrictions are only for US citizens.

The Cuban immigration services do not stamp your passport

they put the stamp on the tourist visa (tourist card - tarjeta tourista)

you have nothing to worry about although  the U. S has in the past made it  difficult for executives of Canadian companies  who have Cuban operations.  I visit Cuba once or twice each year and do the same to the U. S.  Never any problems.

No, it shouldn't have any impact on your entry into the US.

In fact...

Cuba is actually a very popular vay-ca spot for Americans...

We just have to do a few extra steps like fly to Canada or Mexico before we can make it there...

You will see LOTS of Americans there...

If you are British and own a British passport, then you can even travel to the US the next day after coming back from Cuba....whenever you want and without any ramifications.

The US has no jurisdiction over anyone who visits Cuba, except for their own citizens. It is only the US citizens they don't want travelling to Cuba. (But even then, they are allowed with permission under certain circumstances.)

It will NEVER have any impact on your travels or whereabouts. You're safe with whatever decision of travel and timing you choose. You truly and honestly have nothing to worry about at all.
