  1. Well depends do you want to walk out of your job because of something in your job is bothering you. If you want to just walk out of your job because you want to just stay at home, think about it how will you get money to pay for you bills. Unless your parents or spouse has money to pay for it already then you could quit your job. Most likely you will not be benifitted by walking out though.

  2. no i think you can only get them if your fired.

  3. not unless you have a really good reason to walk out.

you will be giving up a job and the benefits agency dont like that they will investigate why you gave up the job by asking you and your employer to fill in a form. if they dont match you wont get any money.

ive been thru it with a previous employer they took me on as full time with 30+ hours a week and told me i was a member of bar staff. when i started the job tho i was on the cloakroom i never worked behind the bar and my hours dropped from 30 to 14 within 4 weeks....so i quit the job luckliy the employer said the same as me so i got benefits untill i found my current job.

  4. Live on benefits - your kidding me right? Why should I work 60 hours a week and pay loads of tax and NI, just because you want to sit on your backside ?

  5. Not straight away.

  6. yes you'll get food stamps /gov aid/money for rent and phone bills/ you just gotta know how to work the system

  7. I hope not.  Why would you prefer to do nothing rather than work?  Jobs suck, all jobs suck.  But we have to do them to put dinner on the table.

  8. UK - if you are living with parents or partner you wont get anything for 6 weeks. if you are single and live on your own you will get some kind of income support until it is sorted out, they contact your work to find out why.

  9. no

  10. you will be able to get some, but not jobseekers. Depends on how good at blagging you are.

  11. no you need to get fired or if you don't you will have to wait quite a will before they give you anything, i think its about 9 weeks !

  12. are you high?

  13. You will be eligible for Cobra (medical) which is really expensive

  14. Depends on the circumstances - if you leave on medical or similar grounds then probably yes, you may be able to get Jobseekers at least.

I left a job because the management were incompetent and the working environment was horrible, when the Jobcentre tried to contact them they got no response which proved my point, so I got benefits straight away.
