It depends upon what you want to do.  With a psychology degree, you can go into counseling, event planning, healthcare, human resources, education, or really anything you want.  There are jobs available with various degrees- BS, BA, MSci, MBA, PhD, PsyD, MD, etc.  It all depends what you want to do.

    I have retired from managing community mental health centers after more than 20 years, to give you the basis for my answer.

    To be able to have a positive impact on the lives of your clients you will need a PhD. The demand for masters in psychology is not very strong in most areas of the country.

  3. I think for the most part it depends on what exactly you want to do in that field. My therapist does not have a PhD, she has a Masters degree. So my insurance actually pays her a little less than they would a PhD.
