If i want to be a pilot af a public airplane, what course should i take?

Professional airline pilots are most often hired based on their ratings (such as commercial, airline transport, etc) and total time spent flying airplanes.  Many of the airlines also require a bachelors degree of some sort.  It seems that if you are attendign a school without an aviation degree program that most of the pilots choose a degree in business.

Incidentally you dont have to go to a flight school (these are called FAA Part 141 schools).  You can earn the approriate ratings and time simply by flying with a local flight club an instructor.  Except to spend between $60,000 and $100,000 for traning before you are marketable to the airlines.  Good luck!
