  1. Professional airline pilots are most often hired based on their ratings (such as commercial, airline transport, etc) and total time spent flying airplanes.  Many of the airlines also require a bachelors degree of some sort.  It seems that if you are attendign a school without an aviation degree program that most of the pilots choose a degree in business.

    Incidentally you dont have to go to a flight school (these are called FAA Part 141 schools).  You can earn the approriate ratings and time simply by flying with a local flight club an instructor.  Except to spend between $60,000 and $100,000 for traning before you are marketable to the airlines.  Good luck!


  2. try joing the raf or raaf. If you are successful you will get training for free and get paid for doing it as providing a service to your country
