Both are good degrees. Take as much math and science as you can in high school if you are still in it. If you are math and science smart, I would go for mechanical or electrical engineering. The classic engineering degrees are extremely broad, and allow you opportunities to work almost anywhere you want and have very good salaries and benefits.. Just make sure you go to a reputable engineering school. I had several job offers when I graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.
