  1. you start by getting a book or 2 on the subject and taking a class on breastfeeding.  You continue by starting to actually breastfeed as you are taught right from the start to avoid nipple confusion and begin your nursing relationship well.

The whole thing about being a mom to begin with is not about what's good for you and when... it's all about the baby now.  Forever an always!  No room to be sick or selfish or sore or tired, you are always the mommy and you are always needed.

  2. start right away.. it actually help your uterus contract and heal. But if you have problems like I did trying to get the baby to latch on don't give up because you think the baby's starving or going to become dehydrated.. My nurse told me that the amiotic fluid in the baby's system will keep him well hydrated for the first 24 hours.

  3. Breastfeeding right away releases a hormone that helps get rid of the cramps and soreness sooner.  Congratulations

  4. do it right away its the most relaxing way to get over child birth all the pain will dissapear

  5. you need to start as soon as the baby is born. The breast milk won't come in right away, but the  baby gets colostrum from your breast, which is essential for health, provides many nutrients and immune builders, preventing infection and illness later on. Also, it will also create an instant bond with the baby, and the baby will recognize you from your scent. Although you will be sore from the birth, your b*****s won't be, and the need and the act of  breast feeding  will distract you from other aches and pains. Believe me, there is nothing like it, and it's extremely important to you and your baby. It also reduces the risk of breast cancer later in life.

  6. You start right away, but the baby sleeps most of the first 24 hours anyway, so you won't have to do it very much the first day.

  7. Right away is best.  Once they have a bottle it can be very hard to get them to breast feed as they have to work much harder to breast feed.  I missed the first feeding with my son because I did not know that and he would never breast feed after that even with professional help.  I did breast feed my other 2 and it is so much better in my opinion.  You don't have to make bottles in the middle of the night and constantly wash bottles out and buy formula, and remember to bring formula and bottles every time you go out.  You may be tired but it is worth it and you can nap right after that as the baby will probably nap right after it eats anyway.  Good luck with the baby and the breast feeding.

  8. You can start as soon as your baby is out and they make sure things are looking with the baby and you are ok.  Nursing right away is great but some woman do actually wait.  I know I didn't nurse until about 5 hrs after they were born just because I was so sleepy and in and out of it and the boys needed to get their body temps under control and everything but as soon as I could I nursed but it took a few days to get it down so I did end up having to supplement with formula for a few days too but only a couple of feedings here and there.  Because of low blood sugar they also had to give the boys sugar water right after birth.

  9. AS SOON AS HE/SHE IS BORN.

    DONT WAIT. BABYS HUNGRY MOMMA!JEJE

  10. Actually for some strange reason once you see that baby the pain seems to disappear...until the next day...lol.  You should allow your baby to breastfeed right away - the sooner you start the sooner your milk will actually come in. And I promise you will be more sore on day 2.

    Good luck!

  11. Your baby may have problems breast feeding if you wait a day.  They should have you well medicated, so pain shouldn't be an issue...plus your breast will be swollen and it will be a relief to breast feed!  Also, you can ask for a pump in the hospital.
