  1. buy also a signal booster

  2. Sometimes it's more important where you actually put it.

Find out which general direction you are receiving from(maybe look at the rooftops near by).

Then try to place your indoor aerial on a window-sill pointing that way instead of just plonking it on top of the tv..

    It's makes a big difference.

  3. get one with a built in amplifier - the better ones are made by the same people that make those 1 4 all remote controls

a couple of things to note however

1 you will never get digital reception on an indoor aerial

2 if the problem you have is ghosting, the amplified aerial will make the ghosts worse

if you have a home cinima setup, you may as well get an aerial specialist out to put you a decent aerial on the roof

as you will never acieve anything anywhere decent with an indoor one

  4. No.  If you are serious about a good signal, you'll have to get an external one to fix on your roof.  It might be a pain, but will provide best results.

  5. Dont buy cheaper ones. Check with the representative if the antenna has a higher 'gain' factor. The more the gain the more powerful the receiver antenna. Cheers
