  1. www.scottrade.com

  2. You go to an internet brokerage firm they are usually discount, like ETrade, Scottstrade, TD Ameritrade.

    You open the account, which means filling out forms and deposting some money, then you buy the stock.

    TD Ameritrade charges $9 a trade, that is no matter how many shares you buy, and then $9 again when you sell it. You do have to be at least 18 years old to open your own account and buy and sell stocks.

  3. Use an online brokerage firm that has good beginner qualitys {like tutorials or easy to understand set up}, i use zecco, better then schwabb, etrade, etc. they are the only ones with free stock trades and no minumums..others will kill any profit you might get with fees!{from a 100 investment}

  4. www.tradeking.com (it's cheaper and good.  It's what I use anyway).  Yahoo Finance is also excellent for quotes and company news/info.
